Altered Nature

  • Processus 955 24th Street Denver, CO, 80205 United States (map)

Altered Nature is a printmaking exhibit including intaglio and relief prints by Jeffery M. Graves (CO), Sean Caulfield (Alberta, Canada) and Anna Kaye (CO). The exhibition, curated by Processus co-founder Viviane Le Courtois, reflects on contemporary natural spaces and the life within them. The concept of nature is constantly changing, endangered by city expansion, population growth, natural disasters or environmental negligence.

The show includes a series of Jeffery Graves’s polymer photogravures of trees, titled Memories from Familiar Places, printed at Processus by over the last 2 years. It also includes a group of prints by Sean Caulfield, Centennial Professor in Printmaking at the University of Alberta, Canada relating to natural disasters and works by Anna Kaye who often represents forest fires and burnt trees in her drawings. Small works by other artists will also be included. On view March 3 through May 19, 2018.

The opening reception and 3 years anniversary celebration of Processus will take place March 3rd from 6 pm– 11 pm.
